Milton Dough Bar: Savor Comfort Food and Custom Pizzas in Milton, DE

We came in for Valentine’s Day and everything was great. The Girl Scout cookies flight was amazing, they weren’t overbearing with alcohol which made me feel they took time crafting good cocktails and not just a boozy sugary gimmick drink for the holiday. The service was good, there was always someone walking by so we never needed for anything and felt well taken care of, even employees that weren’t our waiter were checking on us. They were out of some things but what we did have was delicious, the meat loaf, chicken Milanese and margarita dip. Overall we were very happy and will be back.

Had a perfect experience at the Milton rough bar. One of the owners was our server and she was friendly, prompt and easy to talk to. We ordered the salmon ceviche appetizer which was delicious. Mixed drinks are a little pricey but delicious. Plenty of well priced canned beer and beer on tap. All entrees were tasty as well. We hope to be back! The Dough Bar sits right along the water and has access to a little bridge that takes you to a little Milton Park at the convergence of two rivers for a perfect after dinner stroll.

My party of 4 was kind of surprised by the booth we took, the table was smaller than the booth. Service was excellent. Parking was shared with the bank and signs were posted for particular hours, otherwise towing was enforced. We were recommend a flight of seasonal beverages, which we enjoyed and the staff was very courteous with helping me find their best tasting beer (in my opinion). The pizzas we ordered were hot and fresh, cheesy and delicious. It's a smaller building than expected, but that probably helped the fact we were served so rapidly. Prices were fair, but I would consider this a "date night" spot. An ambient outside, quiet on the inside. There was also a bar area with the football game on. The displayed decor was tasteful and fit the theme. Overall, we enjoyed our visit, and would recommend for a special occasion.

Went out with our friends for dinner, hoping to get the experience of sitting outside in a bubble. We reserved our table but unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate with us. Our dinner was good however. I also enjoyed the wine flight. I had the scallops with risotto and my husband had the white pizza with chicken and tomato. The cheesecake was dry and lacked flavor but our meals were tasty.

Absolutely great, must try. Great service, great food!!!! We stopped here on our vacation and it was absolutely delicious. The waitress was extremely friendly and knew the menu well. She made several recommendations and they were all wonderful. They have a great selection of local beers. For our app we had the garlic, cheese fries and the bruschetta. They were so delicious and we ended up ordering the fries twice while we were there. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits and loved them. I had the bacon burger with sweet pepper jam. It... Was.... DELICIOUS. Not only was it delicious it was cooked perfectly. There is a park steps away which is great if you have kids and want to burn off some energy after your meal.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for a while now, and every single visit reminds me why I keep coming back. From my very first experience to my most recent visit, the level of care and attention has been consistently outstanding. The team truly goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. It’s not just polite service, it feels personal and sincere. They remember returning guests, take time to ask how you’re doing, and genuinely want you to have a great experience. Even on busy nights, they handle everything with such calm professionalism and warmth. You never feel rushed, overlooked, or like “just another table.” There have been multiple occasions where staff members have checked in thoughtfully, made helpful recommendations, or accommodated small requests without hesitation. It’s clear they take pride in what they do and care about their customers, not just the job. The food has always been great, but what truly sets this place apart is the heart behind it. You can feel the positive atmosphere the moment you walk in, and that comes directly from the people who work there. It’s rare to find a restaurant where the service is this consistently genuine. That’s what keeps me coming back, and why I happily recommend it to friends and family. Besides the amazing pizza of course!! :)

We love this place! All of the pizzas are delicious with fresh ingredients and a wide variety to choose from. The Caesar salad (and dressing) is very, very good with generous Parmesan and the greens are always fresh and crisp. Tonight we had “to go” and it was just as good. Shout out to Aaron, Courtney and the kitchen for great service. Milton is fortunate to have several great dining spots and this is one of them.

First time trying out the Dough Bar in Milton, DE. The pizzas were yummy. We had the supreme pizza, a white pizza with broccoli,onion, bacon & sun dried tomatoes, the BBQ chicken pizza & The shrimp bacon corn chowder. The apps we had were the absolutely delicious maple bacon Brussel sprouts and the focaccia garlic bread board that came with garlic butter, marinara and Alfredo sauce. The wait staff were very polite and helpful and the restaurant itself is very cute and fun. They even have these heated igloos outside you can dine in and they were actually very warm. I will definitely return when visiting the area again!
